My name is Joshua Lowder, I am from Ramstein, Germany. Born on March 24th and raised oversees because of my parents call of duty to the military. My father is a retired military veteran and my Mother is an educator for the Department of Defense Dependents Schools Europe (DODEA) for the last 35 years. I am the youngest son of John, and Deborah Lowder, and the third of five children. Tiffany, John, Angelika, and Makayla.
I am graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, where I earned a B.S. in Journalism. Over the years I have been bless to work with some dynamic and influential people. My pathway to into the media field begin by working at my father church. It was there I learned the ins and outs of sound. Which would create a great interest in journalism years later. I got my journalistic start at Ramstein High School, it was my strong background knowledge in video production that introduced me to new concepts, and ideas that have led to my strong development in writing, reading ,and public speaking.
I am confident that my skills and background experience in media technology have helped shape me into a great reporter. Furthermore, my first-hand knowledge of the game of basketball ,football, track and wrestling makes me well-rounded for many positions because I know rules and terminology as well as the importance of working in a team environment. I love to work around positive people with one common goal in mind and that is to get the job done for the greater good of the team.
As a student, I became active with Famu News 20, The Famuan, National Assoication of Black Journalist, The National Society of Leadership and Success. I was also a featured reporter for Rattler Production and Columnist for FAMU Athletics.
In May of 2017 I started The Joshua Lowder Radio Show, which is a tri-weekly video and radio podcast that addresses news topics from an intellectual in depth perspective.
While working in many aspect of journalism from print to broadcast journalism I have had the privilege to work as a sideline reporter and color commentator with Insiights Sports calling many middle and high school sporting events.
I my spare time I love to reading, exercise, run track and field, listen to music and enjoy spending quality time with my family.
