The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors are playing their third straight NBA Finals showdown. Highlights from Game 2 of the 2017 NBA Finals, as the Golden State Warriors won following a 132-113 victory. The Warriors lead the series with a two game advantage over the Cavaliers.
The Golden State Warriors high powered 3rd quarter surge led by former M.V.P. Kevin Durant, who led the team in scoring with 33 points, 13 rebounds, 5 blocks and 6 assist. Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson made strong contributions as during the teams late 3rd quarter run. The pair combine for 54 points, 12 assist, and 17 rebounds. The Warriors bench was a key factor in Game 2, outscoring the Cavaliers bench 31-30.
The Cleveland Cavaliers, came out aggressive in Game 2, led by LeBron James, who posted a career triple double with 29 points, 14 assist, and 11 rebounds in the teams lost. James, also contributed on the defensive end with 3 steals. Teammates Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, had a combine total of 56 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assist, and 4 steals.
With the series shifting to Cleveland for Game 3, Wednesday night. Will the Cavaliers respond in efforts to avoid getting swept for the second in franchise history while keeping their championship hopes alive or will they not defend home court.
